David Klavins

Latvian piano maker - innovator, game changer and enthusiast

About

His philosophy in piano building has been formed by the understanding that today’s pianos are essentially built by principles that were established more than 100 years ago and remain unchanged even today. His approach from the onset was to rethink the piano design, to find out whether totally different solutions may be at hand that were not existing in the 19th century.

In 1987 David presented his first invention, the Vertical Grand Piano M370. The massive sound of the M370 found an audience in modern musicians seeking new sonic possibilities. Renewed attention from the musical world enabled Klavins to build the next step forward in uncompromised sound, the M450i – Vertical Concert Grand measuring 4.5m in height, located in Berlin and Latvia.

Some of Klavins Piano clients are Nils Frahm, Chemical Brothers, Erased Tapes, Stephan Eicher, Matthieu Chedid etc.

An outdoor and sports enthusiast with a knack for languages and discovering new countries, Henriette found her tribe with Moving Adventures Medien, the one-of company curating and distributing outdoor sport film tours worldwide. As the International Partner Manager, she makes sure that the success story of the European Outdoor Film Tour and the International OCEAN FILM TOUR reaches new audiences across the globe. After her studies in Germany and France, Henriette learned the ropes of inspiring brand communication at the life style agency Häberlein & Mauerer.

Upon attending the E.O.F.T. in 2012, she bought her first mountain bike and has never looked back. Any sport offering either some adrenaline or calm is a welcome pastime, as long as it takes place outdoors: Yoga, horseback riding, cycling, rafting, running, swimming and last but not least surfing. Henriette’s love for the ocean was reinforced during her studies in Nice, France and remains strong despite her landlocked base in Munich. Her work with Moving Adventures takes her to new places every year, indulging Henriette’s passion for making new connections and discovering new places.
