Investor Day aka Innovation Bazaar

The DFF Investor Day is a series of events during the Digital Freedom Festival Day 2 (Nov 15) that will help smart money meet new potential – where investors are looking for the next big thing in tech, on the one hand, and where early and seed-stage startups pitch their innovative ideas to investors, on the other. Not just angel investors, venture capitalists, accelerators etc., but also corporations are looking for what’s hot right now – what innovative technological solutions can make an impact on the processes, products, and services within their organisations. Pitching competitions, presentations and discussions, matchmaking and networking – all these tools are there to ease trading of ideas in this, what we call, Innovation Bazaar.

Great news for startups and investors. Our long-term partners world-renown accelerators 500 Startups and Rockstart are back this year to look for the future unicorns. They will be accompanied by impact driven organizations EIT Climate-KIC, EIT-DigitalLatvijas Valsts Meži and, of course, many other investors. For global smart money this is a good opportunity to explore the potential of startups in the Baltic & CEE region. For startups this is an exclusive chance to get noticed by the big-shot investors – taking one’s startup to the next level will be a breeze, if one’s pitch has been perfected and the big idea is present.

Startups applying for the DFF pitches have to take into account that this year the focus is on the following tech segments that are in sync with UN Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Green Tech — groundbreaking technologies in this space are the greatest force to make our world sustainable
  • Smart Impact — digital transformation and industry-changing automated solutions
  • Future Economy — driving the growth and transformation of economies for the future

“Without DFF and 500 Startups pitch competition we most likely wouldn’t have gotten into 500 Startups program which led us further into the US market and resulted with an exit.” Raimonds Kulbergs, Founder and CEO of Funderful

I am personally a big fan of the Digital Freedom Festival and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. This is also why 500 Startups has been involved with the event the last 3 years! Marvin Liao, Partner at 500 Startups
